About FirstClass
FirstClass is a communications system which provides you with the ability to communicate and share valuable resources and information via email, conferencing (public or private), directories, individual and shared calendars, and online chats. Users also have the ability to build their own web pages and to share documents and files.
This software is usually run as a desktop client, using the software found below. However, it can be accessed in alternate form at http://fc.rsu20.org/Login
Warning: This works fairly well to read your mail but sending messages is clunky, at best.
Installation

Download the FirstClass Client to your home computer so you can login and check your messages and email just as you do at school.

- Go to http://fc.rsu20.org/clientdownloads/
- Choose the version you want to install: Mac OS 9 & X or Windows or Linux.
- Download 9.1 Client (size is 11.2 MB for Windows) and install. (Step 1)
- Launch the FirstClass application. (Step 2) It should look like it does at school.
- When the FirstClass Login screen appears, DO NOT enter your username and password. Instead click the arrow in front of 'Advanced' (bottom left) to expand the screen.
- Click 'Setup'.
- In the User ID: enter your username.
- Server: fc.rsu20.org
- Click 'Save'.
- You can minimize the screen now by clicking the arrow in front of 'Advanced'.
- Enter your password (User ID should already be filled in) and click the green button with the arrow OR press <enter>.
