Remember Spiderman's Motto:

With great power comes great responsibility!

A good digital citizen not only knows what is legal and ethical behavior but also practices it.

Go to Downloads and print The Digital Citizenship Tips. (Teachers may want to do this beforehand for students.) There are tips for students and tips for parents.

It is not always easy to understand and follow the rules when using technology. Your parents make great partners! They care about you, and they want you to be safe and do the right thing.

Here are two contracts that you can use to dicuss digital citizenship with your parents. Decide which one fits you best and print one. Take it home and discuss them with your parents. Share with them what you learned in this class. They may not know what is appropriate and responsible behavior because the internet is a fairly new invention. Please share what you have learned with them.

You can also find these two agreements in Downloads and your teacher may print them for you.

Digital Citizenship is about appropriate and responsible behavior when using technology.

Know how to act sensibly, safely, and appropriately online.

Good digital citizens are responsible and respectful in the digital world (and beyond).
